Here it is….the moment all of you have been waiting for. We may even add some more images that I may have forgotten!! It’s the Mari’s Paradise Images best of ’09 Wedding Photography!! Oh okay….so you have me. I do love all of my couples and it took SOOOO long to cull through images for the best of. I wanted to put them all online, but well…I don’t think anyone has time to look at ALL of those images! So without further ado…here they are!!!!

I just loved Amanda's southern elegance at Eden State Gardens!

Ashley had some great details!!

Ah....who can forget Ashley and Megan! I love the little one hiding as she is dressing!! Precious!

Asha, Abby and Kelly three great girls!

Studman Elvis Jr. danced at Kara and Jason's wedding as Regina was sexy in Seaside!

Anne's Apalachicola bouquet and Tara's moonlight poses!!

Megan and Sean....awww so cute! Loren...one of the most beautiful bridals of the year!

I love guys who are man enough to show emotion!!

Sabrina and Mavi, Asha and Mike's great departure and Bethany's "breast stroke"

The Emerald Grande is a great wedding destination!

The bouquet toss is also a sporting event. Love the beautiful Ashley and flower girl!

This is how he proposed to her on the side of the road :)

Love the tin can phone

Linda and Chad's wedding aisle kiss...so romantic. Regina looks awesome in the Seaside Pavillion.

Vivid colors are a must!

A kiss is just a kiss....unless it's on your wedding day then it's the best in the world.

This is from a great wedding I second shot with Candice K!

I love this image.... I call it "Jump Start"

Megan and Sean wanted to do this after the first kiss at the alter. It was cute.

I love the graphics in all of these. New Orleans makes some pretty images.

I would love to see you here in the '10 Best of Weddings!~

Oh my gosh, when I met with Kelly, andy and Kelly’s mom over a year ago, I knew their wedding was going to be fun and crazy! And I was right! Monika and I began the morning photographing at Kelly’s parents house surrounded by her family and bridesmaids. It was a time of laughter, excitement and sentimental moments. Then it was off to Camp Helen State Park. If you have never been there, it is simply beautiful! Located at Inlet Beach, the park has a wonderful feel of old Florida. The wedding guests were kept cool by the winds from an incoming cool front which was wonderful for them, but played havoc on the unity candles and gave all a good laugh. Andy was all smiles as he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. His smile stayed throughout the day as he watched her. It was so nice to see! The “pre-reception” was at Camp Helen State Park after the wedding and was followed by the actual reception at the Breakers in Panama City Beach.  The wedding party was great! Everyone was a lot of fun and it was amusing to watch folks look at Andy’s brother and best man who is a dead ringer for Armageddon actor Steve Buscemi. I admit, I had to look twice as well. Enjoy the images of their fun day!Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-24Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-6Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-30Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-20

Dixi and Tracy Engagements

August 19, 2009

Dixi and Tracy just crack me up. They are the couple that just has fun and enjoys life.

They came out to a wonderful park in Panama City near the historic downtown area with their adorable boys in tow. We hit the park, the beach, the marina and even saw some crazy kind of renegade rock crab on land!

I found some really cool things to photograph in the area and we had a wonderful time on a Sunday morning.

Enjoy!LJ0T1969 copyIMG_4107LJ0T1778LJ0T1769LJ0T1984 copyLJ0T1942IMG_4056IMG_4017 copyIMG_3981Lomo (Medium Vignette)

Sometimes we are blessed to have clients who are almost like family. I’m not sure how long Regina has been bringing her children and their families to see me, but I would venture it’s been about five  years. It’s been a blast to see the older grandkids get bigger, the little babies become young children and even a couple of new additions down the road. And next year there will be a new little boy to add to the mix as Jen and Collin are expecting!!! I’m so excited :)  Add in Holly and her clan along with Randy and Regina, it’s a whole lot of fun!! I look forward to next year!_I0Y4921_I0Y5401 copy_I0Y4850_I0Y4948_I0Y5131_I0Y5088 copy_I0Y5514 copy_I0Y5305_I0Y5584_I0Y4790 copy

Here we go again. Gosh, everything falls on the same dates I swear!!

In case you didn’t know, I have been selected as one of a very small handful of photographers in the Florida Panhandle to be honored with membership to the Wedding Photojournalists Association. There are only five photographers in the entire Panhandle of Florida and southern areas of Alabama and Georgia who have been chosen to become members of this elite organization.

Here is a blurb from the WPJA to brides and grooms that describe their membership:

WOULD YOU TRUST FOREVER TO JUST ANYONE?

The WPJA puts the world’s best wedding photography at your fingertips. We offer a new perspective on wedding photography – quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for the bride and groom.

It is our goal to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Membership in the WPJA depends entirely on photographers meeting our high standards for inclusion. OneCANNOT simply pay his/her way into the WPJA. We emphasize this is NOT another ad-driven wedding web site.

Anyway, it is time for the second quarterly contest. Our catagories are:

1)Getting Ready

2)Ceremony

3)Reception

4)Kids being kids

5)Ring Details

6)Emotion

7)Emotion

8)Cake Cutting

9)Transportation

10)Creative Portrait

11)Trash the dress Portrait

No Photoshop special effects may be used, no textures or filters. The images except for the rings and the creative portraits must be just as we found them.

Sabrina and Mavi took their vows on the Beach in Panama City Beach and then dined and danced with family and friends at the Bay Point Marriot. It was a beautiful wedding, they wrote their own vows and celebrated the sweetness of love with candy favors for all.

I think they have a great start and a lifetime future together. If you take each one aside and ask them about the other, they’ll just blush and smile saying all the most wonderful things about each other. It was so cute to see!! And Mavi was always the first to lend a loving hand to his beautiful wife and fix her dress when needed. A true gentleman!1

Here is one of Mavi's GQ type of shots as a surprise for Sabrina!
