The V. family came down again for the fourth year in a row to see me. I have had the privilege of watching Linda’s little girl grow and change. She is simply adorable!! This year she gave my assistants a run for the money…literally! She and Lexi had fun sand races throughout the session. It was pretty funny! It was wonderful to enjoy the passage of photographing three generations of women. It makes you look into your own life and realize the importance of your own family in photographs. I’m glad I am able to document their little family! So enjoy their beach sessions on our wonderful oil free beaches!

The V. Family ~Sandestin Pristine Beaches ~
June 12, 2010Alison and Eric’s Wedding ~ 30A Destin
May 23, 2010Alison and Eric had a fun wedding packed with family and friends in a little neighborhood off of the famous 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. It is the type of quiet beach neighborhood that has attracted celebrities like Sheryl Crow to own homes there. Eric’s mom did all of the table decorating. She was simply amazing!! Like really, she could do this as a profession! All of the decorations were based on things Alison loved in wedding magazines and Eric’s sister did the best scrapbook style ornament tree ever! It must have taken her weeks! It was beautiful! The cupcake tiers were also made by family friends. It was truly a team wedding! Even the dog participated for a moment as the co-flower girl! All in all everything was beautiful and worked out so well. Alison wrote me a few days after the wedding telling me that into the night after we had left, the whole wedding party ended up in the pool!!

Rachel and Field’s 30A Wedding~ 10.24.09
October 29, 2009Rachel and Field made an adorable couple. With her elegant dress and grandfather’s military ring on her flowers, Rachel was ready for her big day. The entire wedding was an event woven with love by friends and family. Rachel’s step-mom created the fall themed bouquets and her aunt let them use her palatial beach home in the 30A district of Santa Rosa Beach as well as the community pool for the reception. Other family and friends did things to help with the wedding and finally the bride’s brother escorted them all out in his full military blues. It was a fantastic sight to see! The wedding went off without a hitch. Their young son Tucker wasn’t all that sure about the rings, but behaved like a champ! At the reception a dance-off ensued and there was even a dancing tribute to Michael Jackson complete with the reenactment of his “Beat It” video well choreographed gang style fight. The heaters kept the night warm and laughter flowed though the air as Rachel’s little sister toasted the couple by asking them to bring her a niece. It was priceless

Rachel is calmed by her bridesmaid after being given her grandfather's ring to have for the wedding as he something old.

Field's first look at Rachel

YES!!! Go Buckeyes!!!

Re-choreographing the "Beat It" video...hmm...should have been "Beach It" to keep with the beach wedding theme!!

Tucker was adorable!!!

Oh Rachel what are you whispering to Field?

Tucker with a little guidance was a great ring bearer!

Boy was that COLD!!

Featured Wedding Emerald Coast Brides Magazine
August 25, 2009Mike and Asha made such a cute couple. They had been dating for over 10 years and loved each other more and more every day!
When I photographed their wedding last winter, I knew their images told a great and fun story of love! The groomsman jumping randomly in the wedding portrait didn’t hurt anything either!
This featured wedding is in Emerald Coast Brides magazine which is on the shelves of most major vendors right now! Grab a copy and check out this great couple!

The B. Girls
August 8, 2009I love a good sunrise session! The Gulf is calm and the colors are awe striking! Anna and Sarah had on the prettiest sea foam green dresses that made the colors of nature just pop out at you! Their beach portrait session went great and they had plenty of time to play in the Gulf of Mexico by their South Walton condo the rest of the day!!

The W. Family comes Grayton Beach State Park
July 30, 2009Sometimes we are blessed to have clients who are almost like family. I’m not sure how long Regina has been bringing her children and their families to see me, but I would venture it’s been about five years. It’s been a blast to see the older grandkids get bigger, the little babies become young children and even a couple of new additions down the road. And next year there will be a new little boy to add to the mix as Jen and Collin are expecting!!! I’m so excited
Add in Holly and her clan along with Randy and Regina, it’s a whole lot of fun!! I look forward to next year!

Wedding Photojournalists Association Quarterly Contest
July 26, 2009Here we go again. Gosh, everything falls on the same dates I swear!!
In case you didn’t know, I have been selected as one of a very small handful of photographers in the Florida Panhandle to be honored with membership to the Wedding Photojournalists Association. There are only five photographers in the entire Panhandle of Florida and southern areas of Alabama and Georgia who have been chosen to become members of this elite organization.
Here is a blurb from the WPJA to brides and grooms that describe their membership:
WOULD YOU TRUST FOREVER TO JUST ANYONE?The WPJA puts the world’s best wedding photography at your fingertips. We offer a new perspective on wedding photography – quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for the bride and groom. It is our goal to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you. IMPORTANT NOTE: Membership in the WPJA depends entirely on photographers meeting our high standards for inclusion. OneCANNOT simply pay his/her way into the WPJA. The M. Family Grayton Beach
July 22, 2009The M. family came to visit me at Grayton Beach this week and we had the pleasure of having some of the most stellar clouds over us just catching the colors of the sunset. It was simply beautiful! Yet another reason why South Walton or otherwise known as So-Wal is still some of God’s country
Enjoy!

My new inspiration to go to the gym. She’s an aerobics instructor and has simply the perfect body!! Oh….time to go work out now!!
