This shot cracks me up!!

I can’t believe that Tammy is on her sixth…yes, sixth pregnancy. She looks a ton better than I did with my one and only pregnancy! Anyway, she came to see me for her maternity portraits so that she could have the water shot and because this is going to be her last pregnancy and she has never had pregnancy pictures made! Wow, no pressure there for the most awesome images ever huh? We had a blast Tammy and her husband are so in love and adore the children so much. It was just so touching to see Chris shed tears of joy as he rubbed her belly and thought about his baby boy who will be here soon. It gave me goosebumps. That is the way love and marriage and family is supposed to be for sure. Anyway, we did a fun shot, some serious and a whole lot. I hope you enjoy them.

I love the tears of joy in Dad's eyes!

Love this one!

I have photographed the E. Family enough years in a row that I’m pretty sure I have earned a place in the family portrait!! And I look forward to their family portraits every year! So what type of family are they you ask? They are spontaneous, loving and a ton of stinkin’ fun! Now as a word to the wise, if you are a photographer who doesn’t like to laugh and have fun while photographing your clients, this family is NOT for you. However, if you are like me and love to enjoy the time you spend with your clients while laughing, having a good time and making great images…then this is a perfect group! But so sorry folks…I’m not giving up my adopted place in this family! They’re much to fun! Next year hopefully we’ll have the whole family in Florida at the same time. With active duty members in the family, we haven’t ever been able to get everyone at once…YET!

So cute!

Little A. is just hangin' with Grammy and Grandpa

All American cutie pie!

Oh my gosh,  when New Orleans Times-Picayune photographer Scott Threlkeld called me to ask if I would be a subject for a story on businesses along the Gulf Coast adversely affected by the oil spill I was so nervous! I am always the person BEHIND the camera, not in front. He drove over from New Orleans last week to video and photograph me as I did a beach session. I was excited in the fact that folks indeed could see in person that there really is no reason for them not to come down and enjoy our beaches. Our sand is as white as ever and the water oh so inviting! I toyed for a moment on wearing my F BP shirt (that would be Florida against BP, don’t get any ideas), but then thought maybe not! My clients for the evening, the A. Family have come to me for several years and they were excited to be profiled in the story. It was also fun to see in a video how I shot the images and then the images themselves. Thankfully the majority of video is of their family and NOT me!! LOL Thank you Scott!!! We had a great time and made some fun images. I hope folks will see that we are still open for business and will come down for a great fall vacation! Please check out all of the folks interviewed for the story and enjoy the images from the A. Family!

There is Scott running in the background!

I met Devon this summer through mutual friends. She is from the Atlanta area and came down to spend the summer with her grandmother in Florida. She had seen some work I had done for our friends and wanted me to do her senior portraits. Now Devon is full of spunk, a fashionista and on top of that does poetry slams! Her poems are actually very, very good!  We got together and talked about some things we wanted to accomplish and then we went and had a great time!! She even introduced me to the rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s music. Well, so maybe I’m not ready to be a huge fan of his, but it wasn’t bad. It was a pleasure getting to know her and I hope you enjoy her images.

I love her eyes in this picture!

We actually incorporated a poem Devon wrote about the girl she sees when she looks into the mirror.

Hey guys, thanks for checking out my blog! Here is our last Choctawhatchee High School Senior Model, Tra. He’s got charisma, charm and some mad athletic skills! Not only is he a football player (check out the stats…he helped crush arch rival Fort Walton Beach High School last year with a touch down) but he’s also a cheerleader! And did I mention his very infectious smile? He knows how to quietly work the camera and looks great! Remember, to grab a card from him for an ultra cool deal on your senior portrait session!!

Liz came to the Red Dog for her senior portraits last week. She will be a Choctaw graduate and is currently in the ROTC at school. I had a blast and her infectious smile is absolutely wonderful. She seems to have her priorities in line and I think she will do well! In the meantime enjoy Liz’s senior portraits and look for her twin action next week as her sister comes in to see me as well.

Jessica’s mom called me to see if she could be a Senior Model for Mari’s Paradise Images. It only took a little while to get the impression that her daughter not only had spunk, but the right stuff to be a model for the class of 2011! Hey class of 2012, let me give you a hint just in case you want to sign up now to be a senior model for next year….brains+fun!!! Yup, that’s the key!  So the day we had scheduled for Jessica’s session it rained cats and dogs. Instead of canceling the shoot, we did the studio portion. I’m not saying how long we took, but we for sure got carried away just having fun and shooting images. LOL Then on a beautiful morning we finished with the outside portion of the shoot. We crammed quite a bit of stuff into our time outside. Now you get to see everything from Jessica’s photography hobby to bike riding as you get a little peek of her senior portraits! And keep in mind, as a senior model she can give you an awesome rate if you are wanting to get away from that school photogapher look!

Wooo Hooo! I am now two for two in the last week of newborns smiling for me! I am doing the I feels so special dance right now as I blog! Okay, so perhaps the reasoning is that they are just really special babies with such loving personalities that they are advanced for their ages in the smiling department. But I still say it’s the magic of the Red Dog Studio! LOL Little Baby Alya had some amazing eyes and just was checking out all of her surroundings. She was wonderfully behaved and her parents were so adorable. They took turns with her and in a family shot as mom was kissing little Alya’s toes, dad just simply turned and kissed mom on the cheek so gentle and lovingly it was awesome! Now that’s what love is about. I hope you enjoy looking at Alya’s images as much as I enjoyed photographing them!

Baby smiles rock!

Love this!

I just adore the cute little expressions of babies!

Sarah is such a fun, beautiful and smart girl! When she applied to be a Class of ’11 Senior Model for Mari’s Paradise Images I was thrilled! She brought quite a bit to the table as far as interests and activities for her senior session. In addition to being in drama, she has played soccer, is an honor scholar, works, is a member of a ton of school clubs including the unicycle club (yes, there is such a thing!) and very active in her church. Pretty much the all-around American girl! We had a blast shooting her session and she now has a newfound love for New Orleans style snowballs!! Yummy! Enjoy Sarah’s pictures and remember to pick up a card from her so that you can get a special price for your senior portraits!

Love the feet :)

this just cracks me up!

She has awesome eyes..oh and yah..she surfs!

Hey all you Vikings, come and say hi to Angelia to get a very special discount on awesome senior portraits! She is Fort Walton’s Class of 2011 Senior Model for Mari’s Paradise Images!
