I have photographed the E. Family enough years in a row that I’m pretty sure I have earned a place in the family portrait!! And I look forward to their family portraits every year! So what type of family are they you ask? They are spontaneous, loving and a ton of stinkin’ fun! Now as a word to the wise, if you are a photographer who doesn’t like to laugh and have fun while photographing your clients, this family is NOT for you. However, if you are like me and love to enjoy the time you spend with your clients while laughing, having a good time and making great images…then this is a perfect group! But so sorry folks…I’m not giving up my adopted place in this family! They’re much to fun! Next year hopefully we’ll have the whole family in Florida at the same time. With active duty members in the family, we haven’t ever been able to get everyone at once…YET!

The “W” Family ~ No Oil in Destin Beach Portrait ~
July 11, 2010Big waves and beautiful skies was the backdrop for the “W” family beach portrait in Destin recently. Little “W” had a blast exploring the beach and of course….running! Well, at that age, it’s what they do!! But they look so cute when they run off into the sunset! Anyway, they were a beautiful family and we had a blast photographing them. Now you can enjoy their images.
Happy Birthday Denise!! You see today is a very special client’s birthday, and for her birthday week she chose to have her family portraits made by little old me! Of course she has been a regular for about a half-decade and it has been so much fun watching her children grow up and turn into great people! This year we added a new person to the family portrait…hmmm…do I smell a wedding in the next five years or so?? LOL I’m just kidding, no pressure from me. Anyway, the beaches were nice, the sunset beautiful and of course…we are still oil free. Enjoy Denise’s family and if you see her today, wish her a very happy birthday!
Little Logan ~Kid’s Portraits at the Red Dog Studio~
July 5, 2010Little Logan came to the Red Dog Studio to do a pre-second birthday photo session so that he could make images for his birthday invitations. Oh my gosh, that boy has serious personality! He’s 100% boy! And 100% ham! Once he got warmed up he was all over the place creating fun images. He had the most fun in the bathtub where he could slide down the edge and play hide and seek with me. It was a riot! We ended up the session with some watermelon by the bay. Let me tell you, he needed no coaxing to put on his bathing suit, sit in the water and eat some juicy watermelon!! He was a wonderful model, enjoy his images!
Baby Alya ~ Precious Newborn Pictures ~
June 25, 2010Wooo Hooo! I am now two for two in the last week of newborns smiling for me! I am doing the I feels so special dance right now as I blog! Okay, so perhaps the reasoning is that they are just really special babies with such loving personalities that they are advanced for their ages in the smiling department. But I still say it’s the magic of the Red Dog Studio! LOL Little Baby Alya had some amazing eyes and just was checking out all of her surroundings. She was wonderfully behaved and her parents were so adorable. They took turns with her and in a family shot as mom was kissing little Alya’s toes, dad just simply turned and kissed mom on the cheek so gentle and lovingly it was awesome! Now that’s what love is about. I hope you enjoy looking at Alya’s images as much as I enjoyed photographing them!
Baby Bella ~Newborn Portraits~
June 19, 2010
I don’t know who was more excited for this session, me or Bella’s mom. Okay, maybe it was a total toss up, but I was so excited! I photographed Bella when she was just a bump. It was so wonderful to watch her mom and dad’s faces glow with excitement as they talked about her upcoming arrival! Well, late last week she made her debut at the Red Dog Studio. She was awake and her eyes full of curiosity as I made her first professional portraits. I am totally excited that she even gave me a smile! Okay, so cynics will say it was only gas and newborns can’t smile, but she did! And she rolled over onto her side. Oh boy, this little one is destined for big things! As we wait for her to grow up and become president or something really cool like that, we can sit back and enjoy the love and joy from her newborn portrait session!
Destin Beach Portrait Session ~ The B. Family ~
June 7, 2010Oh what a beautiful evening it was last week as the B. Family came to the beach to get their portraits made. It ended up being a mix of engagement and baby portraits with a wonderful sampling of loving little family thrown in the mix! I loved it! And their little girl turned on her charm and gave me nothing but wonderful smiles all session. It was really nice to appreciate the fact that Destin still has oil free pristine white beaches

Baby Seth at 9 months ~ Red Dog Studio
May 25, 2010Oh my gosh, Seth is growing up! It is amazing what changes in just a few months! When you saw him last he was that really cute baby with the head full of black hair at three months. Now he is still that cutie pie, but he’s so grown up! He was all giggles as he sat and posed and even tried to crawl. Man it all happens so fast! Thank goodness Theresa has photographs to remind her of his different stages.
Oh boy, I was so excited to see baby Carolyn and her parents again! You see, I photographed Liz and Rob’s wedding a few years ago here in Fort Walton Beach. Then last year when Carolyn was born they came back down from Atlanta to have her newborn photos made. Now, she just turned one and it was time to make the trip down to the beach again! She is such a happy baby and has just learned how to walk. It’s so much fun to watch them at that age as they stick out arms when they run to keep the balance. I laughed so hard, it was so adorable! She still has her super wonderful big blue eyes that just melt your heart as well. But now she has a pretty toothy smile to go with her smiling eyes! Yes, as an outside observer, the age of 1 is pretty

! However as a parent…I soooo don’t miss the diapers or child proofing the house!! LOL Any enjoy Carolyn’s images.
Lorelei and Keegan at the Red Dog
April 29, 2010I first saw Lorelei when she was a sassy but shy two-year-old with a thick head of curly red hair peeking over the top of her family’s perfect white picket fence as I was driving by one day. She was a bundle of energy and always perfectly dressed. I found out later her grandmother is quite the seamstress and sews her outfits for her. They are quite amazing! Later that year I photographed Lorelei and her older brother Keegan and we had a ball! Imagine Michael J. Fox’s roll as Alex Keeton on Growing Pains in a much younger person and you have Keegan! They are both really neat kids!
Later on in the year that I photographed Lorelei, her parents upon checking if she may have growth issues found out the news that no parents would ever want to hear. She has a rare disease where her white blood cells are attacking her body. It is kind of like cancer, but without the tumor. She has been undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments, but the disease is so rare that not much research has been devoted to it’s cause or cure. So for now, her parents hope and pray and try to give her the moments in life every 5-year-old experiences. Keegan is still very much a character and a sweet and loveable kid.
The portraits were my gift to Lorelei for her 5th birthday. Enjoy.
