I loved photographing Bryt! She was game for anything and seemed like she was having a great time during the whole session! We mixed up some high fashion with some plain old fun! Bryt wanted something that the school appointed senior portrait photographer was unable to do for her. She wanted her personality to shine through, she wanted someone to take the time to create a piece of art that she will look back at in 20 years with fondness…she wanted sass, fun and style! Love this one!
I have photographed the E. Family enough years in a row that I’m pretty sure I have earned a place in the family portrait!! And I look forward to their family portraits every year! So what type of family are they you ask? They are spontaneous, loving and a ton of stinkin’ fun! Now as a word to the wise, if you are a photographer who doesn’t like to laugh and have fun while photographing your clients, this family is NOT for you. However, if you are like me and love to enjoy the time you spend with your clients while laughing, having a good time and making great images…then this is a perfect group! But so sorry folks…I’m not giving up my adopted place in this family! They’re much to fun! Next year hopefully we’ll have the whole family in Florida at the same time. With active duty members in the family, we haven’t ever been able to get everyone at once…YET!

Jessica’s mom called me to see if she could be a Senior Model for Mari’s Paradise Images. It only took a little while to get the impression that her daughter not only had spunk, but the right stuff to be a model for the class of 2011! Hey class of 2012, let me give you a hint just in case you want to sign up now to be a senior model for next year….brains+fun!!! Yup, that’s the key! So the day we had scheduled for Jessica’s session it rained cats and dogs. Instead of canceling the shoot, we did the studio portion. I’m not saying how long we took, but we for sure got carried away just having fun and shooting images. LOL Then on a beautiful morning we finished with the outside portion of the shoot. We crammed quite a bit of stuff into our time outside. Now you get to see everything from Jessica’s photography hobby to bike riding as you get a little peek of her senior portraits! And keep in mind, as a senior model she can give you an awesome rate if you are wanting to get away from that school photogapher look!
Little Logan ~Kid’s Portraits at the Red Dog Studio~
July 5, 2010Little Logan came to the Red Dog Studio to do a pre-second birthday photo session so that he could make images for his birthday invitations. Oh my gosh, that boy has serious personality! He’s 100% boy! And 100% ham! Once he got warmed up he was all over the place creating fun images. He had the most fun in the bathtub where he could slide down the edge and play hide and seek with me. It was a riot! We ended up the session with some watermelon by the bay. Let me tell you, he needed no coaxing to put on his bathing suit, sit in the water and eat some juicy watermelon!! He was a wonderful model, enjoy his images!

30A Beach Portrait Oil Free!! ~The R. Family~
June 29, 2010I love the beaches along 30A in Walton County. They are in tune with high society, yet so old Florida. It’s really beautiful to go out and enjoy them. I had a wonderful chance to do just that last week with the R. Family! The sea oats (please don’t touch them or step on them) are beginning to bloom and so pretty as a backdrop for an image and the sand and water are the most beautiful I have seen them in years! We had a wonderful time so enjoy their little family moments caught on film.

June 29, 2010If sunrise didn’t come so stinkin early, I’m pretty sure I would be up to enjoy one every day. However, since I am a night owl and actually come from a long line of night owls, the beautiful soft breezes, pink light and gentle glow of the dawn usually elude me. So, when Trisha needed a portrait last week and the only time I had available was sunrise. I found myself looking forward to the fresh smooth water of morning with schools of fish jumping and the light timid and shy until the sun pushed over the horizon. And I was not disappointed, the water was crystal clear with no sign of those evil tar balls, the fish were swimming and Trisha and her son were so much fun!! ……But the dog stole the show. Enjoy!

Baby Alya ~ Precious Newborn Pictures ~
June 25, 2010Wooo Hooo! I am now two for two in the last week of newborns smiling for me! I am doing the I feels so special dance right now as I blog! Okay, so perhaps the reasoning is that they are just really special babies with such loving personalities that they are advanced for their ages in the smiling department. But I still say it’s the magic of the Red Dog Studio! LOL Little Baby Alya had some amazing eyes and just was checking out all of her surroundings. She was wonderfully behaved and her parents were so adorable. They took turns with her and in a family shot as mom was kissing little Alya’s toes, dad just simply turned and kissed mom on the cheek so gentle and lovingly it was awesome! Now that’s what love is about. I hope you enjoy looking at Alya’s images as much as I enjoyed photographing them!

Heather and Lee ~ Fort Walton Beach Wedding ~
June 8, 2010Oh man, Heather and Lee’s wedding was awesome! It took place in a little white gazebo at the end of a peninsula in the Choctawhatchee Bay. The sun was wonderful but not to hot and the water sparkled all around with a smattering of palm trees to just give that isle of paradise look! Inside the yacht club it was a festive pink with black accents. Very pretty!
Heather was simply a dream in her dress with fun sassy pink heels! Lee and the boys were very handsome in their tuxedos and everyone had a blast at the reception dancing with B Boy Productions!

Choctaw High School Class of 2011 Senior Rep ~ Haley

Hey guys, I am so excited to show you the first of our Class of 2011 Senior Representatives, Haley! Haley is an IB student (aka pretty gosh darn smart) and is a two year member of the varsity cheerleading team. As a member of the Mari’s Paradise Images senior reps, Haley got to have a deluxe senior sitting which involved photographing in several local areas as well as the studio. We had a ton of fun and I think when it’s all said and done, I’ll do a blog of senior rep outtakes. Oh my gosh it will be a riot! Emily’s Senior Portraits ~ Choctaw High School
May 20, 2010Emily had some very fun images for her Senior portraits. She decided to use an outdoor theme and once again we got to use the swing!! Oh boy I do love that swing 
Since she is a self proclaimed book worm, I also climbed a tree to photograph her with a backdrop of lush green undergrowth as she read one of her favorite books! We had a blast and worked until dark creating fun and interesting images. Emily was game for anything and looked great doing everything! How awesome is that?!
