Marie’s mom called me from Ohio because her daughter wanted to have her senior pictures done at their second home in Carillon Beach. She said her daughter was beautiful, fun, had a great personality and wanted some Florida style out of the ordinary images for her senior portraits. Well, she was right!! Marie is funny, beautiful and intelligent! We had a blast! I hope you enjoy her images as much as I enjoyed photographing them!

I love this image! It is just relaxed with a natural laugh and a free spirit strand of hair!

Her boyfriend Matt was a hoot! And an awesome softbox holder!

So much fun!

The P. Family was awesome! We had a good time, it was one of those evenings with the cobalt sky and random WWII military stunt planes flying above giving us our own private show. The big fluffy clouds floated by and the sun graced them with a wonderful tint from the sunset. It was a great evening. Well, except for the fact that during the shoot the doctors office called me to tell me my husband was being admitted to the hospital. It was no surprise, but still threw me for a loop a bit. Thank you to the P. Family for being understanding when suddenly I became the biggest airhead on the planet in the middle of the shoot…LOL  I am happy to say that the hubster is now home and doing well. I appreciate everyone who has posted expressing their thoughts and prayers. And I am also happy to show you the P. family 2010, enjoy!

I love the little ghost crab. What a cute little fella!

The H. Family was a ton of fun! They came to me in Grayton Beach on Scenic Hwy. 30A to do their family beach portraits. All of the kids were so well behaved and although it looked as though the sky could open up and storm at any minute, we didn’t experience a drop of rain to temper our beach fun! With the scare of oil and start of school, the beaches were deserted. It looked more vacant than the dead of winter, but it was fine for us. We used all of the beach as a canvas for their beach portraits! I hope you enjoy them!

Oh my gosh,  when New Orleans Times-Picayune photographer Scott Threlkeld called me to ask if I would be a subject for a story on businesses along the Gulf Coast adversely affected by the oil spill I was so nervous! I am always the person BEHIND the camera, not in front. He drove over from New Orleans last week to video and photograph me as I did a beach session. I was excited in the fact that folks indeed could see in person that there really is no reason for them not to come down and enjoy our beaches. Our sand is as white as ever and the water oh so inviting! I toyed for a moment on wearing my F BP shirt (that would be Florida against BP, don’t get any ideas), but then thought maybe not! My clients for the evening, the A. Family have come to me for several years and they were excited to be profiled in the story. It was also fun to see in a video how I shot the images and then the images themselves. Thankfully the majority of video is of their family and NOT me!! LOL Thank you Scott!!! We had a great time and made some fun images. I hope folks will see that we are still open for business and will come down for a great fall vacation! Please check out all of the folks interviewed for the story and enjoy the images from the A. Family!

There is Scott running in the background!

As I write this I am a little bit optimistic! I have seen no sign of oil (tar balls or otherwise) along our beaches for about two weeks. You don’t know how happy this makes me! YAY! But now it’s time to get up off of the beach and begin blogging. I just can’t say enough about these families, they were all so wonderful and awesome! And a few of them are celebrating over five years in a row coming to me for their family pictures! I am so honored to be able to say that. Anyway, enough of the chit chat, let’s take a look at some great families on our oil free beaches!!

I was really looking forward to this beach portrait session. The M. Family, what more can you ask for? They are great looking people who are really fun! Now that’s my type of family session for sure! I met them when I shot their daughter’s wedding. Wow, talk about fun as well!! And now the whole family was together again this summer and we got to have fun on the beach. We didn’t have to worry about any tar balls or odor either, it was simply perfect! Please take a moment to enjoy their images!

You know with three daughters all so beautiful, they have to be a great looking couple!

And handsome couple they are indeed!! I think Mom looks like Sandra Bullock!

Eighty days after the oil rig explosion in the Gulf, the beaches of South Walton County and Grayton Beach are still as beautiful as ever! The C. Family came down to have their beach portraits made and had a new member! Keeping with family tradition she runs pretty quickly too!! LOL  The girls have grown so much, it is always fun to see how much the children change through the years. We had a great time and the sea oats are almost fully in bloom offering yet another backdrop in the beautiful wonderland we call the Emerald Coast.  Come on down and visit our beaches!

Sometimes you just don't want to hang with your sisters!

I love a good hot sexy couple that is sooo in love with each other even after kids! J and B are that couple. Not only are they a beautiful couple on the outside, but they are also as beautiful on the inside as well! J wanted to surprise her sweetie with a special shoot for their anniversary, hmmm think he was surprised? Enjoy their images, I think they had fun making them! Happy third Anniversary J and B!!

Tell me they aren't adorable together!

Big waves and beautiful skies was the backdrop for the “W” family beach portrait in Destin recently. Little “W” had a blast exploring the beach and of course….running! Well, at that age, it’s what they do!! But they look so cute when they run off into the sunset! Anyway, they were a beautiful family and we had a blast photographing them. Now you can enjoy their images.

The J. Family was a hoot! I imagine that when they get together there is plenty of antics and fun! They came down last week to Destin for their beach portrait. It was not one of the better days for the poor beach. Itty bitty tar balls crowded where the tideline had hit the sand. Thankfully there was no smell and plenty of clean sand near the water where we could do sitting groups. Another big thing to be thankful for was the fact that the balls were so small they did not show up in any images from the shoot!! YAY!  All in all we had tons of fun and the weather was perfect. Please enjoy their images!

What a sweet moment!

I love our untouched beaches!
