Oh the fun and awesome wedding couples of ’09
January 6, 2010Love this album~Ashley and Brad’s Apalachicola Wedding!
January 4, 2010As the new year is beginning, I was looking through some of our ’09 weddings. Oh we captured so many fun and happy memories and were fortunate enough to get to spend the most wonderful day of their lives with dozens of couples this year! We are truly blessed! One of our most fun memories was Ashley and Brad’s wedding in Apalachicola. Monika and I spent two wonderful days in the quaint town scouting photo locations and photographing the wedding of a very sweet and dear couple! It was a ton of fun and Ashley and Brad along with their friends and family were just super too!! Since I was fondly reminiscing about them, I thought I would share their wedding album with you.

Anne and Scott’s St. George Island Reception
October 4, 2009Although Anne and Scott got married on the island of Seychelles, they chose St. George Island to do their reception with family and friends. Amy from Bayside Gallery and Florists was the event coordinator and the festivities went off without a hitch as usual!! I love working with Amy. She is so laid back in person, but gets the work done and puts on a flawless event!! She must be doing a great job, she was just voted the best of by the Knot in her area!! Whoot Whoot Amy!
Now back to Anne and Scott, what can I say? Anne’s wedding dress was unbelievable! The intricate designs in the fabric combined with such wonderful crystals and pearls was a girls dream dress for sure! And Scott looked every bit the part of a debonair James Bond in his tuxedo. Together they made a fun couple. Despite Scott’s fondness for licking her…LOL
The night ended with crazy beach races and sparklers. It was a great time for all.

Wedding Photojournalists Association Quarterly Contest
July 26, 2009Here we go again. Gosh, everything falls on the same dates I swear!!
In case you didn’t know, I have been selected as one of a very small handful of photographers in the Florida Panhandle to be honored with membership to the Wedding Photojournalists Association. There are only five photographers in the entire Panhandle of Florida and southern areas of Alabama and Georgia who have been chosen to become members of this elite organization.
Here is a blurb from the WPJA to brides and grooms that describe their membership:
WOULD YOU TRUST FOREVER TO JUST ANYONE?The WPJA puts the world’s best wedding photography at your fingertips. We offer a new perspective on wedding photography – quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for the bride and groom. It is our goal to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you. IMPORTANT NOTE: Membership in the WPJA depends entirely on photographers meeting our high standards for inclusion. OneCANNOT simply pay his/her way into the WPJA. We emphasize this is NOT another ad-driven wedding web site. Anyway, it is time for the second quarterly contest. Our catagories are: 1)Getting Ready 2)Ceremony 3)Reception 4)Kids being kids 5)Ring Details 6)Emotion 7)Emotion 8)Cake Cutting 9)Transportation 10)Creative Portrait 11)Trash the dress Portrait No Photoshop special effects may be used, no textures or filters. Ashley and Brad’s Amazing Apalachicola Wedding
June 30, 2009Monika and I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing Ashley and Brad’s wedding in Apalachicola, FL. The wedding was awesome at a local park and the reception was a vision of elegance at the Coombs House Inn Bed and Breakfast. Amy from Bayside Gallery and Florist was awesome to work with. Her arrangements were simply perfect and the event ran without a hitch.
Although the temperatures hovered above the 100 degree mark all day, both the bride and groom kept their cool and looked great! They are so blessed to have surrounded themselves by a wonderful grouping of friends and family. It was a pleasure to work with everyone!
Ashley and Brad are such a cute and loving couple. I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding the other week in Apalachicola. Their wedding was at the most beautiful park on the bay and the reception at the Coombs House Inn. It was a great combination for sure.
Enjoy!
