Totally my favorite pic!

When Stevie and Keith came to see me about photographing their wedding they had some very definite ideas about their engagement session. Both of them are vintage car enthusiasts and both of them had seen a vintage filling station somewhere on Hwy. 331. That is where they wanted their engagement session. Well, that didn’t exactly make it easy. I had to research where the filling station was and then I called a local photographer to see if he knew the owner. Thank goodness he did! I called the owner who was so excited they had chosen his either father or grandfather’s station for their shoot, that he had it all cleaned up and ready to go for us when we got there! It was even more amazing than I had expected! We shot some totally awesome images there and then went on to explore the rest of downtown Florala. Of course it was hard not to notice the police car that passed by our locations I would say about every five minutes. But then again, the entire town was closed because it was Sunday, so I guess we looked pretty menacing with our photo lights and Florida tags taking over their downtown area. You can’t really blame them for being protective. Anyway, the shoot went great! Stevie and Keith did awesome…now it’s time to enjoy their images!

This is just so sweet!

Another one of my faves!

Really, tell me with a straight face you could resist photographing this image!

Sexy sky!

Checkin' out the bling!

Oh my gosh, Seth is growing up! It is amazing what changes in just a few months! When you saw him last he was that really cute baby with the head full of black hair at three months. Now he is still that cutie pie, but he’s so grown up! He was all giggles as he sat and posed and even tried to crawl. Man it all happens so fast! Thank goodness Theresa has photographs to remind her of his different stages.

What a big boy with my dad's WWII navy hat!

He loved that bear!

Alison and Eric had a fun wedding packed with family and friends in a little neighborhood off of the famous 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. It is the type of quiet beach neighborhood that has attracted celebrities like Sheryl Crow to own homes there.  Eric’s mom did all of the table decorating. She was simply amazing!! Like really, she could do this as a profession! All of the decorations were based on things Alison loved in wedding magazines and Eric’s sister did the best scrapbook style ornament tree ever! It must have taken her weeks! It was beautiful! The cupcake tiers were also made  by family friends. It was truly a team wedding! Even the dog participated for a moment as the co-flower girl! All in all everything was beautiful and worked out so well. Alison wrote me a few days after the wedding telling me that into the night after we had left, the whole wedding party ended up in the pool!!

The dish was set in a bed of live lemon grass. Very cool!

Okay guys, I’m screaming from the trees here, our beaches are still simply gorgeous! We have NO oil or smell or anything like that! I shot the W. family earlier this week and the Gulf was simply beautiful with wonderful waves and colors trying to come out of the cloud cover. Their four children were amazing! Not only were they all cute to the nth degree, but they had fun and were very, very well behaved! That makes a session so much more fun for sure! We had a great time so enjoy their images and remember…our beaches are still beautiful and pristine!

Are these cute kids or what?!

Fun feet!

Hey guys, I am so excited to show you the first of our Class of 2011 Senior Representatives, Haley! Haley is an IB student (aka pretty gosh darn smart) and is a two year member of the varsity cheerleading team.  As a member of the Mari’s Paradise Images senior reps, Haley got to have a deluxe senior sitting which involved photographing in several local areas as well as the studio. We had a ton of fun and I think when it’s all said and done, I’ll do a blog of senior rep outtakes. Oh my gosh it will be a riot! For those of you who are class of 2011 grab Haley in the hall if you see her and ask for your $99 senior portrait coupon!

In the meantime, enjoy Haley’s senior portraits!

Love the color of her dress!

One of my favorites. I love the footsteps

You don't need to be in the sea oats to make a wonderful image.

Emily  had some very fun images for her Senior portraits. She decided to use an outdoor theme and once again we got to use the swing!! Oh boy I do love that swing :) Since she is a self proclaimed book worm, I also climbed a tree to photograph her with a backdrop of lush green undergrowth as she read one of her favorite books! We had a blast and worked until dark creating fun and interesting images. Emily was game for anything and looked great doing everything! How awesome is that?!

We still are looking for two males and one female senior rep for Choctaw and Fort Walton Beach High Schools for the 2011 senior class!! For more information please call 850-699-3403!

Yay, I didn't fall out of the tree!!

Love, love, love the shoes!!

Charmane and I worked at the Northwest Florida Daily News together and now both work in the wedding industry. Small world huh? Well, she has two beautiful daughters and one very handsome son with her husband Jerome. They came to the Red Dog last week to do some fun images of their daughters. I love them and had so much fun at their shoot. Photographing children at their age is awesome!

Aren't they cute?!

I love my jasmine arch!

Alison and Eric were so easy to work with and so much fun! Since they were a destination wedding, we did their engagement session at the most astounding Rosemary Beach only two days before their wedding. Everything worked out great! We had beautiful light, fun kids who let us use their bicycle and even a delightful resident who allowed us to use his roof top patio to  photograph. Everything was perfect! Enjoy their fun engagement session and keep an eye on the blog, their wedding will be up here this week!

I love this fountain!

I managed to get this out in time for their wedding cards!

The rooftop patio

This was their first look at each other. It was awesome!

What a cute couple!! Mary Catherine and Waylon decided to see each other before their wedding. With three photographers on the job, we got a full view of their love and emotion from the meeting. It was simply awesome! Their wedding was at one of the prettiest churches in the area. The St. Simon flower guild really could have competed with any florist in the area on their alter displays and the wedding party bouquets were done in perfect matching harmony by Nancy Krenkel and Ann Wallace. I’m not knocking any local florists by any means. I’m just saying that the guild did a great job on the alter!  The wedding was picture perfect. The flower girls and ring bearers did their jobs flawlessly and the service was intimate and beautiful. We were able to utilize three different views of the ceremony and also use a remote camera in the alter area to capture the moments as they came. Then came the fun! Their reception was at the Emerald Coast Conference Center on Okaloosa Island and it looked like a royal ball! There was wonderful uplighting as well as some of the most ornate table centerpieces I have seen in a while. While Mark and I worked the reception, Monika rocked the photo booth outside. Everyone did a tremendous job and now it’s time for all of you to enjoy the images from Mary Catherine and Waylon’s wedding!

It's not fun til the whole wedding party kisses!

"Five little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped it's head!"

Priceless!!

Putting down her flower petals!

The flower girl has now left the dance floor!

By the time you read this Mary Catherine will be a Mrs.! How exciting is this? I have been waiting and waiting to blog her full bridal session. I mean how could you not be excited as a photographer? She is gorgeous and the flowers are amazing! I am so excited as well to be photographing her and Waylon’s wedding at the Emerald Coast Conference Center as you are reading this. I know you can’t wait to see those images :)

In the meantime enjoy these of a beautiful bride on the inside and out!

Thanks to her mom and sister-in-law for pulling the azaleas for me
