Rachel and Field made an adorable couple. With her elegant dress and grandfather’s military ring on her flowers, Rachel was ready for her big day. The entire wedding was an event woven with love by friends and family. Rachel’s step-mom created the fall themed bouquets and her aunt let them use her palatial beach home in the 30A district of Santa Rosa Beach as well as the community pool for the reception. Other family and friends did things to help with the wedding and finally the bride’s brother escorted them all out in his full military blues. It was a fantastic sight to see! The wedding went off without a hitch. Their young son Tucker wasn’t all that sure about the rings, but behaved like a champ! At the reception a dance-off ensued and there was even a dancing tribute to Michael Jackson complete with the reenactment of his “Beat It” video well choreographed gang style fight. The heaters kept the night warm and laughter flowed though the air as Rachel’s little sister toasted the couple by asking them to bring her a niece. It was priceless :)

Oh, this has been one of the most difficult weddings to edit. So much happened, it’s like the novel “War and Peace” without thankfully the war! Although there was a Marine in full dress blues just in case anything was to get out of hand :) Anyway, Rachel and Field are a very adorable couple. And their little boy Tucker was just plain fun! Monika and I had a great time at their wedding and here is one little itty-bitty sneak peek before the big honkin’ blog tomorrow!destinweddingblog~field and rachel

Okay, you may have gathered from the sneak preview that Loren and Andy are a very unique but wonderfully fun couple. We had a great time at Baytowne Wharf doing their pre-wedding portraits and loving the bright colors and beautiful light offered there. Then it was off to the wedding at Finz restaurant. They had the top floor and it looked so elegant. Andy and Loren were married in front of a full window decorated in candles and flowers. Our resident dare-devil pilots were training so the guests had front row seats to a pretty neat air show as well. The whole wedding went smoothly once Loren got her Muligan behind her with a little help from a wedding guest  which eased everyone into enjoying the celebration of Loren and Andy’s wedding. Andy even regained his champagne bottle sabering mojo as he hit 2 for 2 with skill and finess during the wedding. The music was provided by Charlie Roberts and his band did a wonderful job keeping everyone on the dance floor. In all it was a great wedding with fun people._MG_3574

Here is a sneak peek of Loren and Andy’s Sandestin wedding held on the top floor of Finz. Wow, what they did to prepare for that wedding, the restaurant looked like a million bucks!! It was awesome! I’ll be posting more of the wedding images tomorrow. Anyway, in this set we went to one of my favorite places, Baytowne Wharf. The light and the bride were amazing as you can see. Then in the fact that Annie Leibovitz is my photo idol and I have a wry sense of humor, I did a play on the fact that Andy thinks Loren is a little behind in the electronic age. He is texting her via her “tin can phone”. LOLloren2Baytown Wharf wedding

Oh my gosh, when I met with Kelly, andy and Kelly’s mom over a year ago, I knew their wedding was going to be fun and crazy! And I was right! Monika and I began the morning photographing at Kelly’s parents house surrounded by her family and bridesmaids. It was a time of laughter, excitement and sentimental moments. Then it was off to Camp Helen State Park. If you have never been there, it is simply beautiful! Located at Inlet Beach, the park has a wonderful feel of old Florida. The wedding guests were kept cool by the winds from an incoming cool front which was wonderful for them, but played havoc on the unity candles and gave all a good laugh. Andy was all smiles as he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. His smile stayed throughout the day as he watched her. It was so nice to see! The “pre-reception” was at Camp Helen State Park after the wedding and was followed by the actual reception at the Breakers in Panama City Beach.  The wedding party was great! Everyone was a lot of fun and it was amusing to watch folks look at Andy’s brother and best man who is a dead ringer for Armageddon actor Steve Buscemi. I admit, I had to look twice as well. Enjoy the images of their fun day!Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-24Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-6Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-30Panama City Beach Wedding Photography~ Kelly and Andy-20

The weather outside may have looked frightning to some, but to me it was a slice of heaven as I photographed Heather and Lee’s engagement session Sunday evening in Crestview. The colors of the brightly painted stores downtown just popped with the heavy ominous clouds building overhead. It was so awesome!! Even more awesome was that we did not get rained out and Heather got her railroad shots she wanted too!! I am looking forward to their May 2010 wedding!Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-5Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-12Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-15Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-3Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-10Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-7Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-11Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-13Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-14

As cute as a bug on a rug…oh yah, never thought I would use that for one of my couples, but here it goes! Megan and Shaun together are just a cute as a bug on a rug!! They laugh together, love together and will enjoy the rest of their lives….together. The wedding was at the very cute First Baptist Church of Niceville. There were some really nice areas to work with before the wedding, and the rather intimate seating in the church made for beautiful ceremony images. We had a blast doing the formals. Thank you to the “enforcers” for some comic relief. Then on to the reception at Louisiana Lagniappe. For those of you who are non-cajuns it is pronounced Lan-yap.  The bride’s brother composed a song out of Megan’s and Shaun’s favorite poem and that was their first dance song. It was really touching. The whole wedding day was a mix of fun, festivities and family. Just the way a wedding day should happen. I wish them a lifetime of health and happiness together :) IMG_9617IMG_9301 copyniceville wedding photography ~Megan and ShaunLJ0T0231 copyIMG_9695 copyLJ0T2097IMG_9783 copy_MG_2269 copyLJ0T0261 copyLJ0T0881IMG_9755destin weddings~ megan and shaunLJ0T0798 copy 2LJ0T0429 copyLJ0T0342 copy LJ0T0374 copyLJ0T0780 copyIMG_9824 copyIMG_9508 copyniceville weddings~megan and ShaunLJ0T0252 copyLJ0T0495LJ0T0973 copy

Megan and Shaun...always remember to say Olive You to each other :)

Megan and Shaun...always remember to say Olive You to each other :)

Jennifer and Tyler are one of those couples that you can immediately see sharing a lifetime together. I can’t really explain it, but they just have that soulmate mojo working for them. Anyway, I like it! So, their wedding story is pretty interesting. They had their wedding at the ever fantastic Emerald Grande at the exact same time as the Destin Seafood Festival made the return to the harbor. Yes, a venue with very little parking to begin with was hosting an event predicted to bring in tens of thousands of people. But the hotel was prepared and the wedding went off without a hitch! Whoot whoot! They said their vows amid some georgous arrangements by Celestines as random flocks of seagulls passed over.  The couple got married on Norriega Point to cheers of boaters and spectators and then the reception was on the Captain’s Deck, a nice airy area. As couples danced to the music provided by American DJ Zoran, the fireworks lit up the night sky giving everyone a reason to kiss.  And thus ended another perfect wedding day on the Emerald Coast!Emerald Grande Wedding

Here is a sneak peek at Jennifer and Tyler’s wedding this weekend. The Brandi and the Emerald Grande crew rocked it out even with the added challenge of the seafood festival on property. The evening ended with fireworks for the couple. More to come soon!!LJ0T0156 copy2
