Totally my favorite pic!

When Stevie and Keith came to see me about photographing their wedding they had some very definite ideas about their engagement session. Both of them are vintage car enthusiasts and both of them had seen a vintage filling station somewhere on Hwy. 331. That is where they wanted their engagement session. Well, that didn’t exactly make it easy. I had to research where the filling station was and then I called a local photographer to see if he knew the owner. Thank goodness he did! I called the owner who was so excited they had chosen his either father or grandfather’s station for their shoot, that he had it all cleaned up and ready to go for us when we got there! It was even more amazing than I had expected! We shot some totally awesome images there and then went on to explore the rest of downtown Florala. Of course it was hard not to notice the police car that passed by our locations I would say about every five minutes. But then again, the entire town was closed because it was Sunday, so I guess we looked pretty menacing with our photo lights and Florida tags taking over their downtown area. You can’t really blame them for being protective. Anyway, the shoot went great! Stevie and Keith did awesome…now it’s time to enjoy their images!

This is just so sweet!

Another one of my faves!

Really, tell me with a straight face you could resist photographing this image!

Sexy sky!

Checkin' out the bling!

Alison and Eric were so easy to work with and so much fun! Since they were a destination wedding, we did their engagement session at the most astounding Rosemary Beach only two days before their wedding. Everything worked out great! We had beautiful light, fun kids who let us use their bicycle and even a delightful resident who allowed us to use his roof top patio to  photograph. Everything was perfect! Enjoy their fun engagement session and keep an eye on the blog, their wedding will be up here this week!

I love this fountain!

I managed to get this out in time for their wedding cards!

I love photographing at Baytowne Wharf! It offers an awesome variety of looks. You can go for pure coastal, urban or even a Savannah type of look in your images. It truly rocks. And, if you add in a super couple like LeeAnne and Richard, you just can’t go wrong! We had a blast. They were so much fun and had a super love language between them. I can’t wait until their wedding in October. LeeAnne will have the best reception ever I think as she works for the catering division of the Emerald Coast Conference Center and that’s where it’s going to be held. After we hit all of the fun Baytowne areas, we went to the beach. Aside from a really freaky dead dolphin floating by, we had the best time. We had scheduled the session for Super Bowl weekend. Oh my gosh, I am so glad we waited until now. It was warmer (please note I did not say warm!!) and the sun was out with a glorious sunset. Ahhh…it was truly a dream engagement session!

This is my personal favorite from the day...love the deep texture!

Just look at how great they look together!

Who can resist a little Wizard of Oz?

Are they to stinkin cute together or what?

LeeAnne can use this if Richard is ever in the dog house :)

Sweet love!

Sassy girl!

I love this area at Baytowne!

Fun...did I mention I love to have fun?

As I said, Baytowne offers so many looks!! Love it!

Simply sexy :)

Can I say enough about fun?

Love the God light on this

Wow, can it already be here? The Red Dog Studio has been open for a whole year! What began as a dream about five years ago came to fruition last winter as I built one of the areas only full-service photographic studios from the ground up. I wanted a studio that was large enough to utilized both as traditional light studio as well as a natural light studio. Voila, a plan was formed! It was a ton of hard work. The structure was built to the specifications I needed including six foot windows, a sky light and loft storage area. We put in the insulation and painted it ourselves. By the way, that’s how it became named the Red Dog Studio. Jack Rascal Terrorists love chasing anything that sprays. By the time I was done painting the outside, I had one large red dog! Poor Mr. Noodles!  We added hardwood flooring and some outside scenes and the Red Dog was set to go! Our sessions combine the use of our awesome studio and outside scenes along with areas at a beachside park across the street. We do offer the best of all worlds! Since the Red Dog has opened it has been the place to go for high school senior photos, pregnancy portraits and children and newborns! We just love our clients! Enjoy some images of the studio! And if you need any portraits, please feel free to call us at 850-699-3403. We are open by appointment only!

LJ0T5124IMG_4794Dawnelle and Jesse compliment each other so well!! She is simply gorgeous and just as beautiful on the inside and he is ruggedly handsome and well….don’t get mad….beautiful on the inside as well. Since the couple lives just outside of NOLA and love the city we decided on their e-session location as the French Quarter. It was awesome!!!! The sky was cobalt blue and it wasn’t to hot or overly crowded as it can get sometimes. We enjoyed the beauty of Jackson Square with it’s wonderful view of St. Louis Cathedral and then hit some obscure areas for some colorful fun!!! It was a blast!

I love the doors and colors!

The weather outside may have looked frightning to some, but to me it was a slice of heaven as I photographed Heather and Lee’s engagement session Sunday evening in Crestview. The colors of the brightly painted stores downtown just popped with the heavy ominous clouds building overhead. It was so awesome!! Even more awesome was that we did not get rained out and Heather got her railroad shots she wanted too!! I am looking forward to their May 2010 wedding!Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-5Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-12Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-15Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-3Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-10Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-7Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-11Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-13Crestview Wedding Photographer ~ Heather and Lee-14

Megan and Shaun’s Engagements

September 13, 2009

01 squareIt sure didn’t look like it was going to be a great night to photograph Megan and Shaun’s engagement session last night. It had been raining all day and heavy dark clouds loomed low on the horizon. But just as they arrived, a small bit of sun began smiling through the dark mass causing light rays to dance over the water. It was awesome!! We had a great time and Megan was a true trooper. She held a smile and super attitude despite dealing with a painful broken toe!! Now that’s SPUNK! I guess all of that kissing they did numbed the pain :)

I can’t wait for their wedding next month!!_MG_9569_MG_9757 copy_MG_9479LJ0T1686 copyLJ0T1528 copyLJ0T1419 copy_MG_9643 copyLJ0T1708 copy

Dixi and Tracy Engagements

August 19, 2009

Dixi and Tracy just crack me up. They are the couple that just has fun and enjoys life.

They came out to a wonderful park in Panama City near the historic downtown area with their adorable boys in tow. We hit the park, the beach, the marina and even saw some crazy kind of renegade rock crab on land!

I found some really cool things to photograph in the area and we had a wonderful time on a Sunday morning.

Enjoy!LJ0T1969 copyIMG_4107LJ0T1778LJ0T1769LJ0T1984 copyLJ0T1942IMG_4056IMG_4017 copyIMG_3981Lomo (Medium Vignette)
