The P. Family ~ Beautiful Destin Beach Portraits ~
June 6, 2010

What a precious family! I had the pleasure of photographing the P. Family late last week along our pristine white beaches. The temperature was perfect and we had so much fun. Please remember we have no smell (aside from fresh saltwater) along our beaches and the sand is still so white and beautiful. Come on down and enjoy!
Rachel and Field’s 30A Wedding~ 10.24.09
October 29, 2009Rachel and Field made an adorable couple. With her elegant dress and grandfather’s military ring on her flowers, Rachel was ready for her big day. The entire wedding was an event woven with love by friends and family. Rachel’s step-mom created the fall themed bouquets and her aunt let them use her palatial beach home in the 30A district of Santa Rosa Beach as well as the community pool for the reception. Other family and friends did things to help with the wedding and finally the bride’s brother escorted them all out in his full military blues. It was a fantastic sight to see! The wedding went off without a hitch. Their young son Tucker wasn’t all that sure about the rings, but behaved like a champ! At the reception a dance-off ensued and there was even a dancing tribute to Michael Jackson complete with the reenactment of his “Beat It” video well choreographed gang style fight. The heaters kept the night warm and laughter flowed though the air as Rachel’s little sister toasted the couple by asking them to bring her a niece. It was priceless

Rachel is calmed by her bridesmaid after being given her grandfather's ring to have for the wedding as he something old.

Field's first look at Rachel

YES!!! Go Buckeyes!!!

Re-choreographing the "Beat It" video...hmm...should have been "Beach It" to keep with the beach wedding theme!!

Tucker was adorable!!!

Oh Rachel what are you whispering to Field?

Tucker with a little guidance was a great ring bearer!

Boy was that COLD!!

The Y and A Families
September 9, 2009Wow, it’s been a huge Labor Day weekend for me. I have had the opportunity to see a ton of wonderful clients and capture some of their beach memories that they will have forever with their images. What can I say, my first family of the weekend has come to me for more years than I can count. It has been great watching Saylor and Chandler grow up these last few years. They are really sweet and fun kids to photograph!! It is always a treat to see the Y. family come to have their beach photos taken here in Destin. Both of the kids are at such a great age where they are developing from the toddler and little kid stage to that of a young lady and 0-90 in 2 seconds little boy. And the beautiful thing is they will still hug each other and have fun together. That is great to see in siblings
And let’s talk about mom and dad…woo hoo!! They got to make some “hot couple” photos. I do so love romance!!
Then we have the A. family. This was my first time photographing them. Their two daughters were so precious!! Bethany was the typical toddler, running and exploring. Isn’t it so neat we can view our wonderful area through the eyes of a child each family we shoot! It does keep the excitement of living at the beach exciting and fun for me at least! And Abby, she is the adorable big sister. You can tell she is a caring and loving young lady by the way she plays with and protects her sister. The beach had some great tidal pools, perfect for reflecting the sunset as little feet created ripples on the still water. And let’s just chat a moment about that bright yellow full moon. Oh yah, perfect for that romantic south Pacific looking shot with mom and dad. Mmmm…mmmm….I do love it!
There will be more blogs throughout the week along with some exciting news!!!!!! Keep tuned in to find out!

Seagulls, Flying babies and True love
September 1, 2009
As a photographer who gets to spend many evenings a week viewing our magnificent beaches here on the Emerald Coast, I am just as guilty as the next resident of taking our wonderful area for granted. But I guess it’s like most things, if you live there the novelty soon wears away or perhaps we just don’t stop to enjoy it anymore.
As I was laying out on the beach (for only the second time this year) last weekend, I watched a large family begin the process of a beach portrait. It was then I began to realize that although the topography of the beach is always evolving, the sea oats sprout, bloom and die, the shores extend and erode, and the sky is always full of surprising clouds and colors. But there are three consistent factors that will extend beyond our lifetimes. Wow, you say. What is that? Well, let me tell you….seagulls, true love and of course flying babies! How much more beach does it get? The joy of my job is to creatively weave like an artist the variables and constants to form a canvas of life.
The M. and B. families offered me a chance to combine it all this week. It was so much fun!!

The B. Girls
August 8, 2009I love a good sunrise session! The Gulf is calm and the colors are awe striking! Anna and Sarah had on the prettiest sea foam green dresses that made the colors of nature just pop out at you! Their beach portrait session went great and they had plenty of time to play in the Gulf of Mexico by their South Walton condo the rest of the day!!

Bonanza of Beach art
August 5, 2009Wow, time flies when you are having fun!! I didn’t realize that I am so far behind in blogging. So, here we go again minus one shoot I’ll blog on a special date
Whet your appetites folks!! It’s bloggapalooza!!

The W. Family comes Grayton Beach State Park
July 30, 2009Sometimes we are blessed to have clients who are almost like family. I’m not sure how long Regina has been bringing her children and their families to see me, but I would venture it’s been about five years. It’s been a blast to see the older grandkids get bigger, the little babies become young children and even a couple of new additions down the road. And next year there will be a new little boy to add to the mix as Jen and Collin are expecting!!! I’m so excited
Add in Holly and her clan along with Randy and Regina, it’s a whole lot of fun!! I look forward to next year!

The B. Family and Fellow Perrysburg High Alumnus
July 24, 2009Wow, I didn’t know that in a small piece of paradise 915 miles away from the place I once called home, I would have the chance to photograph the precious family of one of my fellow PHS alumnus!
Dave’s family is so cute. He and his beautiful wife just celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. Way to go guys!!! And let me add, their children are gorgeous and fun!!
Enjoy their images ![]()

A little bird told me that they just celebrated 17 years of marriage last week. Congratulations!!

The M. Family Grayton Beach
July 22, 2009The M. family came to visit me at Grayton Beach this week and we had the pleasure of having some of the most stellar clouds over us just catching the colors of the sunset. It was simply beautiful! Yet another reason why South Walton or otherwise known as So-Wal is still some of God’s country
Enjoy!

My new inspiration to go to the gym. She’s an aerobics instructor and has simply the perfect body!! Oh….time to go work out now!!
