There is no better reason for a New Year’s Eve party than the long awaited nuptials of high school sweethearts. Linda and Mike were just that couple! Combining a wonderful mix of classic wedding traditions with their own individual flair, they sealed the commitment of a love that began decades ago. With her precious niece Molly as her maid of honor (and if you remember she was a 2010 senior model) at her side, Linda was able to peer deep into the chocolate eyes of her beloved groom, Mike, and become his wife. I was touched that her three brothers shared walking her down the aisle, as her parents are deceased. That really was emotional for the over 100 guests attending the ceremony. The ceremony went off without a hitch minus a brief unity candle malfunction which was quickly remedied with a wave of giggles beginning at the alter and moving through the crowd. Linda and Mike then were lead down the aisle by the ring bearer proudly displaying a sign that Mike and Linda were married. It was so cute!
The reception was standing room only. I would guess that the attendance was over 300 for the New Year’s Eve party held at the Emerald Coast Conference Center. The tables were lit by led vases with ostrich plumes and plenty of 2012 festive decorations, hats and noise makers. The crowd danced to live music and Mike and his former band members got together to preform some songs for Linda as a wedding present. It was loveley.
The wedding reception ended with a balloon drop at midnight and kisses by all.
I hope you with share in the joy of Linda and Mike’s images as much as Mark and I love creating them. Congratulations Mike and Linda!!!
