I wish this would happen in Destin, Fl. We have enough celebs that visit, it is possible!
SandestinSeth and Rachel had a multi-part wedding photography session. It began along the Emerald Coast at dawn and ended up that afternoon with a wedding upon the Solaris. I loved it because it gives the viewer two different looks for the wedding. Something you don’t normally have for sure. It was also really a ton of fun because one of Rachel’s bridesmaids had never been in the Gulf of Mexico and ran quickly after our sunrise shoot into the water to frolic for a moment. I know everyone was exhausted from the rehearsal dinner festivities, but they put a great face on it and we made some beautiful wedding formals that morning.
The Solaris is a dinner cruise yacht based out of Sandestin, a Gulf and bayside resort in Destin. Shortly after pulling out from the dock, we began the wedding ceremony on the roof of the boat. The weather was perfect for a destination wedding. Sunny but not to hot with a little wind. After the wedding Rachel, Seth and their guests went into the Solaris for dinner and dancing. They finished out the evening with a sparkler exit at the Village at Baytowne Wharf on the dock.
Olivia and Nick will say their vows next weekend at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach. I am so excited to be their wedding photographer. When we went to SoWal to do their engagement photography, Eden Gardens State Park was the perfect place to go! Their love language is so adorable!! Recent graduates of the Air Force Academy they are full life and love.
Santa Rosa Beach is known for it’s wonderful live oaks with the Spanish moss and of course the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Olivia and Nick decided on Eden Gardens for their engagement photography to take advantage of the wonderful antebellum home and of course the amazing oaks and fountains that line the property. It’s Florida’s version of a Louisiana plantation. While having their engagement photographs made it was fun to watch them laugh and play with each other. It is so much fun when you have playful couples. Their love language is so apparent and a ton of fun to capture!
Eden is a great place for your wedding or just to visit. You can learn more about it at https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/Eden-Gardens. Check out the wedding tree and learn about the fascinating history of the house and acreage. Another great resource for the area is http://sowal.com where you can see everything about South Walton County, a highly sought after area of the Florida Panhandle.
